Extractions, Dental Implants, Bone Grafts, Gingivitis treatment Dental Crowns

A long overdue deliberate delayed review as I wanted to give an honest opinion on the service as well as the treatment I received. First visit was in December 2021, 2nd Visit December 2022. Firstly I would like to say a big thank you for the coordinator Omid who I found to be passionate, professional, dedicated and a wonderful personality to boot who made both of my trips immensely easier. Secondly, I would like to offer my wholehearted appreciation to Dr Onur Ademhan and Dr Fuat Biter.

After most people who look online for medical tourism in Turkey in my case dental, there are a myriad of choices and often it can be daunting on which is the correct choice for the individual. The reason I personally settled on Perla (I had contacted 7 in total) was mainly due to the issues I had with my teeth and my oral hygiene over the years. I generally do not believe some of the reviews as I may be incorrect but most are just happy once they have an aesthetically pleasing smile. For myself its was to fix my root cause of broken teeth, gaps and bone loss and Gingivitis. So hence the oral surgeon was the most important aspect for myself. After some extensive research coming across what clinic as well as other review sites I came across Perla and found the blogs online by Dr Onur Ademhan. As per the standard approach contacted was done via WhatsApp Omid was brilliant on the initial conversation and everything after this event. Once booking of flight was done. Omid organised the hotel, Transfers etc and timings on treatment on the required days.

December 2021
Stage 1. Dr Onur Ademhan. Extraction of 9 teeth, 9 implants 4 upper and 5 lower. 4 bone grafts and Gingivitis treatment. This was after 3D X ray and consultation. I shall be blunt here and I was dreading this part. But to be 100% honest I can say that the fear of the pain was worse then the pain itself. During the process. I did not feel a thing. In fact, after first day of extensive work after 1 hour process complete I was working around Antalya with a mask on. It was uncomfortable for next few days. So soup mainly. I had some swelling on the face. They prescribe mouthwash, antibiotics and pain killers which did the trick. In fact after 2 days I virtually stopped taking the painkillers.

Stage 2 and Stage 3. Dr Fuat Biter. Shave down the remaining teeth and after 4 days of healing time. I upgraded to higher-quality temporary dentures. As I knew I would need at least 6 months to allow for the implants to heal due to bone graft. I paid extra for porcelain dentures. Crowns etc. Which was a wise decision as they last me 12 months without issues. As I had to wait due to family reasons 12 months instead of the 6. Also Dr Fuat Biter stayed late to make sure my temp teeth were done correctly and this I was so grateful for.

Important fact. For the last 10 years, I had issues with infections etc after the above treatment I had zero issues with this. I was able to eat normally after 2 weeks. Plus the temporary teeth looked good and were comfortable.

December 2022
Stage 1: . Dr Onur Ademhan and another colleague who I forgot the name. X ray was done and great news all 9 implants had fused to the bone without failure. The other oral surgeon then took over and placed the healing caps. Stage 2: On said same day met Dr Fuat Biter. Who shaved the remaining teeth more. Did a 3D scan for new crowns. Placed my old temporary back so could eat. Chose a natural smile and BL3 shade. As wanted to look like normal teeth shade not super white and false.
Stage 3. Testing/Fitting over 2 days. Which god bless Dr Fuat Biter he spent considerable time in my sessions with him. Testing checking sending the crowns bridges back to lab for modifications. He was extremely vigilant considerate professional caring. I really appreciated his approach as not rushed and was very detailed tooth to tooth. Due to the trust I had in him I left some key decisions to him as he is the expert and I am glad I did. As the ones I had in my mind, he did it without me telling him. Even though he did ask me what I wanted to change etc.
Final Thoughts:
Apologies this is a long review. But I wanted to be honest as I can be as a paying customer going to Turkey for Dental work. Hence I waited until fully complete. I have no issues at all. From a personal point of view, I recommend Perla if you decide to use them as I got the service, care, and quality I expected and received.

I have to say that the service I received from the Perla Dental Centre had been nothing but amazing and superb, from my initial contact through to my final treatment. I was extremely low and unhappy about my teeth when I contacted Perla, which after years of self inflicted abuse with chocolate, sugary drinks, biscuits, sweets and alcohol, started to take its toll. My teeth were in a really bad way and my fear of dentists only made this situation worse.

After a lot of research on the internet about dentists in Turkey, I contacted Perla Dental Centre and texted via What's App with Thomas, who I have to say was absolutely brilliant and really reassuring. I choose Perla Dental from my initial contact with Thomas. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, reassuring and non judgemental as I was embarrassed about how the state of my teeth were and he reassured me that the dentists at Perla would help me get my smile and confidence back.

The Perla Dental Centre is also amazing and caters specifically for dentistry, which was very important for me. My treatment has now been completed and I am over the moon with the results. I had: 12 extractions, 4 implants top row, and 4 implants bottom row. 28 veneers.

I have a full set of white porcelain veneers top and bottom in the perfect shade and shape for me, giving me a beautiful, natural white smile, which is exactly what I wanted. I have received so many compliments about my smile from friends, family and co-workers since completing the treatment that I wonder why it took me so long to contact them. More importantly, I can eat normal foods again, as before my treatment, there were only certain types of food that I could eat.

I have to give a special big thank you to my amazing dentist, Dr Usef Alghabri. You Sir, are an incredibly talented, caring and amazing dentist and on top of that, a really nice guy. You have given me my confidence back and I really cannot thank you enough for all you have done for me. I have to also have to give a big special thank you to Dr Onur Adamhan...another incredible, talented and brilliant dentist. Did all my implants, extractions, smile design and was so kind and reassuring, particularly, as I was a bag of nerves about the whole treatment. Cannot thank you enough as well.

Finally Thomas. One of the nicest people I met in Antalya. There were times when my nerves got the better of me and Thomas was there letting me know it will be ok. He was just brilliant from start to finish. A credit to the company.

To be honest, everyone at Perla were brilliant, from the drivers, receptionists, the advisors. I would strongly recommend Perla for any dental treatment and I won't be going anywhere else if I need any additional treatment. They are amazing!!!

Communication from Orhan has been the key to this successful business operation. You will get picked up from airport and put into a hotel. They send mini buses out to collect you for All your appointments.

The staff are friendly. The practice is clean and tidy with free tea coffee water and wifi. Shout out to the minibus drivers who mostly go unnoticed but are terrific mechanics in business operations.
